Rebar Coupler – Mohammadpur Project

Freehold Construction & Development has successfully completed the supply and installation of FCD Brand Standard Couplers for an ongoing project, B+G+13, in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

Over 500 couplers have already been installed in the basement stage of the project, covering 16mm, 20mm, and 25mm rebar sizes. The client plans to use couplers throughout the entire structure, with an estimated total requirement of more than 10,000 couplers upon completion.

The project utilizes Standard Couplers — a special mechanical joint system where rebar ends are threaded and connected using precision-engineered couplers, ensuring superior strength and alignment compared to traditional lap splicing.

Alhamdulillah, each rebar thread and coupler installation was executed with high precision and quality. The client conducted a tensile test on the installed couplers, and the results confirmed that the rebar failed before the coupler — demonstrating the excellent performance and reliability of our FCD Standard Couplers.
